meet some of the team
Director Afric Crossan began her career in corporate marketing then retrained as a teacher in 1997. Since then, Afric continued on to become a qualified primary school teacher then took her business expertise to co-found Forest Schools Birmingham Non-Profit 2004.
Afric's specialism is Autism and Additional Needs, and her greatest motivation is supporting the Climate Emergency Movement and supporting individuals, families and communities to improve mental and emotional health, confidence and self-esteem through accessing the natural environment and learning new skills. Afric manages the strategic element of the business, manages the Community Engagement teams and is the lead Teacher Trainer. She has been invited to Downing Street as part of the 'Big Society' Vision, is the current chair of Kingstanding Regeneration Trust, she works closely with Birmingham City Council, has helped 100s of schools implement Forest School and Outdoor Learning programmes and is also a facilitator of women's retreats at Wild Women Retreats.
